Prepared a step by step plan to; set up a new Exchange server and conduct the migration of the 2000 Information Store to the new server. The entire upgrade was executed by the Bank IT Department with PND acting as advisors. This process enabled the staff to gain in depth knowledge of Exchange 2003 and enabled them to gain the required knowledge to be able to support Exchange 2003.

Details:
A 625 step Network Integration Plan was prepared to integrate two networks. Involving over 1000 network attached devices and 900 users. Created a team of key personnel in the IT Department and company wide Department Managers, to lead the company throughout the merger process. The Network Integration was conducted over a three day weekend in January and departmental consolidation took place during the week that followed. The complexities of merging two networks required careful attention to detail and many hours of testing. The tests were conducted side by side with the customer IT personnel and were not deemed successful until the customers IT staff completed the tests them selves and the results were shared with the Management team. Our goal was one where the users wouldn’t see any change when they showed up for work and one where the company didn’t suffer any down time or loss of access to any applications. Those goals were met and the Network Integration process was flawless.

Details:
Implemented a solution where all backups are directed to a SAN and then to an off site facility. This solution is tape-less and enables the customer to retrieve any backup whenever the need arises using a few mouse clicks.

Tape backup are conducted for archiving purposes depending on individual requirements. The tapes are stored in a secure and climate controlled environment. Periodic tests are conducted to ensure tapes are in working condition. We utilize new, out of the box, tapes for ‘Year End Archival’. The daily, weekly and monthly tapes are taken out of rotation once they reach their expected life cycle of use.
